The Enlightened One

There lived a prince named Sidharth Gauttam. His father tried to protect him from all the “evils” of the world. But eventually, Sidharth found out about all the atrocities that were occurring all around him. He decided to leave home and leave behind all the materialistic things in the world around him, and eventually he became The Buddha. There are a lot of lessons to learn from this well-known story, but what resonated with me was one simple fact: He took the road less traveled. And so that’s exactly what I did with this piece. I experimented with new medium, dry point etching, to create a unique piece.
