CAUTION!

In this ink drawing, every single pencil is forced to be one and the same using an intricate machine of destruction: a pencil sharpener. It represents a dystopian world where everyone is the exact same. The “leader” pencils of this dystopian society force several unsharpened pencils through this “weapon” that makes every pencil the exact same: sharp and soulless. The rest of the society watches in a frenzy of excitement as all the pencils are forced to conform to society's standards, and exit from the sharpener in a factory conveyor belt. This piece warns the viewer to be cautious of the villains of our society that try to diminish the gift of individuality.
